Hue cooking class is run by our family with 3 ladies that offers you a great way to escape from the city and just relax while you discover and experience rural life in the Vietnamese countryside.

We leave our hotel with English speaking guide by scooters to go to local market where we will have a chance to see and experience the noise as well as contact directly to seller here.

Bun Bo Hue

Bún bò originated in Huế, a former capital of Vietnam. Outside the city of Huế and some parts of central Vietnam, it is called bún bò Huế to denote its origin. Within Huế and surrounding cities, it is known simply as bún bò. The broth is prepared by simmering beef bones and beef shank with lemongrass, and then seasoned with fermented shrimp sauce and sugar for taste. Spicy chili oil is added later during the cooking process.

Bánh Khoái “plain-rice-flan”

Khoái Cakes (Bánh Khoái) is one of most traditional Vietnamese Food Recipes in Middle Area. It looks like Bánh Xèo. However, their shapes are smal ler and more filling inside. Vietnamese people always enjoy these cakes with vegetables and dipping sauce. All ingredients are not expensive, but it is required much time for cooking. Today, my family decides to cook it so I try to type its recipe down and hope it can help who wants to cook at home like my family.

Banh Beo Hue “ Rice Cake“

Bánh bèo is made from a combination of rice flour and tapioca flour. It is popular street food in Vietnam. The ingredients include rice cake, dried shrimps, crispy pork skin, scallion oil, and dipping sauce. It is usually eaten as a snack but is now considered a dish in restaurants and can be eaten as lunch and dinner. Today our family will show you how to cook Banh Beo Hue

Nem Lui “Spring Roll”

Vietnamese spring roll is a Vietnamese dish traditionally consisting of pork, prawn, vegetables, bún (rice vermicelli), and other ingredients wrapped in Vietnamese bánh tráng (commonly known as rice paper or cold roll) Like other spring roll dishes, they are believed to have an origin in China and were introduced to Vietnam by Chinese immigrants although the gỏi cuốn has been modified to suit local tastes.
